We are back from our most recent Disney Cruise Line adventure exploring Alaska!! Today we share our 2nd Alaskan port of Juneau and celebrating Robbie’s birthday!! Keep following along as we continue to make our way through beautiful Alaska! To celebrate Robbie’s birthday in Juneau, we decided to book an excursion of whale watching & a trip to Mendenhall glacier (booked again through Alaska Shore Excursions)! Our particular excursion started with a trip to Mendenhall glacier where we were able to hike to beautiful Nugget Falls! While we loved this part of the excursion, we only had about 45 minutes to explore the area which we felt was not enough time. After exploring the glacier and waterfall, it was time to re-board the bus to head to Auke Bay for some whale watching!! We had about 2 hours dedicated to whale watching which was super cool…our negative here was that because we went so early in the day, we didn’t see nearly as many whales as most other people we talked to back onboard the cruise. We ended our time in Juneau with a quick lunch at Tracy’s Crab Shack which was super yummy!! Overall, we enjoyed our time in Juneau and would love to return to the Mendenhall Glacier to explore some more! Back onboard, we enjoyed a wonderful performance of Frozen in the Walt Disney Theatre followed by a lovely birthday dinner in Triton’s featuring lobster tail and chocolate lava cake!!
