In partnership with six regions—Flanders (Belgium), Italy, Germany, France, the Netherlands, and Catalonia (Spain)—the project launched a Europe-wide call to startups, SMEs, and entrepreneurs, attracting nearly 200 applications and selecting 80 projects into an acceleration program backed by €2.5 million in EU funding. The calls focus on four challenge areas: circular economy and sustainable mobility, climate change, inclusivity, talent and accessibility in events, tech-enhanced event experience and logistics, and technology for better governance, impact measurement, and democratic, values-based management. With €4 million in total EU support and over 700 organizations involved across Europe and worldwide, B Future has now partnered with IBTM Barcelona to open a new area connecting innovation and startups directly with the business events industry.
