About our Bacon Score methodology
YouTube Video Description↓

We booked this river tubing tour for a Port Day in Cairns directly with Cairns Adventure Group rather than doing the ship option. We had 2 days in Cairns so the morning session on day 2 didn't put us at risk of missing the ship departure. You can book this as a shore tour on the Pacific Encounter and probably other ships too if you are concerned about missing the ship. It is a fabulous half day out and well worth giving a go. When we were there there had been some heavy rain recently and the March flies were out, and they were HUGE. If you book directly they will pick you up from the port and take you back there afterwards. Reef shoes are available for hire from them and there is a $15 river levy so check if that is included in the cost or whether you have to pay it extra. Really friendly and knowledgeable guides and a heap of fun.
