Day 5 brought us to Costa Maya for the very first time ever! The 3rd time was the charm as we were unable to dock on our previous 2 cruises that were supposed to visit Costa Maya. Costa Maya was beautiful!! We had so much fun on our jam-packed first ever visit! First, we scored a mango and lemon margarita and a wonderful Shrimp Ceviche! Then we paid $12 each for the Walking on Air / Aviary over the Bridges walking activity which took you over 8 bridges, with incredible scenic views of the ocean and ships, all while feeding the birds you encountered! Andrea saw her spirt animal, the Flamingo! We highly recommend this walking tour, the views alone are worth it! Afterwards we swam in the smaller pool closer to the ships that has a swim-up bar. Amazing views overlooking the ocean and ships! All-and-all, Costa Maya maybe be our favorite port so far! Back on ship, we had some Street Eats, including Buffalo Tots, and then captured a 4-ship sail-away, including the Jewel of the Seas, Norwegian Joy and Carnival Glory! Capped the night off listening to the #FlamingosBayBand, our favorite musicians from Buenos Aires, Argentina! A very fun-filled 5th day aboard the beautiful Carnival Mardi Gras as we visited the beautiful port, Costa Maya!! Come join us! #CarnivalMardiGras #JohnHeald #Sailabration @Carnival Cruise Line
