The Carnival Mardi Gras set sail on its inaugural voyage and I captured the Mardi Gras' first sail away and then had dinner at ChiBang! This is my fourth solo cruise. The Carnival Mardi Gras set sail on its first cruise on July 31, 2021 from Port Canaveral, Florida, with 4200 guests onboard. After earlier having lunch at Shaq's Big Chicken, I take a walk around the ship to highlight some of the amazing new venues the Carnival Mardi Gras has to offer. The Mardi Gras is a beautiful ship, unlike anything we have seen before from Carnival Cruise Line. The sailaway party on Carnival Mardi Gras was amazing, the first ever to be held on its Lido Deck! After the party I went to my cabin to watch us sail away from Florida, on our way to Puerto Rico! The Carnival Mardi Gras was soon on her way, after many months of waiting for the maiden voyage. The first evening onboard the Mardi Gras was amazing and I enjoyed dinner at one of Carnival's new eateries, ChiBang! This restaurant meshes Chinese and Mexican cuisines into one awesome experience.
