--~-- CDC Approves Carnival Plans For 3 Ports. Carnival Cruise Line has received approval from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to resume cruise operations out of three ports. With the acceptance of the requirements needed as part of the CDC’s Conditional Sailing Order, it now means the Miami-based cruise line will be able to begin sailing for the first time since the start of the suspension in March 2020. This includes PortMiami, Port of Galveston and Port Canaveral – all key homeports for Carnival Cruise Line and the first three homeports that Carnival is focusing on for its return to guest operations this summer. And, of course, just like Celebrity, we do not have an answer to the CDC and Cruise Line desire to sail with vaccinated guest vs Governor DiSantis and Florida law disallowing such a requirement.
