The concept of MDR on Celebrity Edge-class series of cruise ships is very different from other ships. It might even be a bit confusing for first-timers. The Main Dining Room is divided into four restaurants, situated across the aft of decks 3 and 4. They're all complimentary for guests and serve dinner nightly. Each of these restaurants has its own distinct flavor, décor, staff, and location. Cosmopolitan serves American-style food, Cypress is themed after Greek cuisine, Tuscan is Italian, and Normandy is French. Each menu has three sections. One section is what you might be accustomed to from previous cruises, offering daily changing appetizers, main courses, and desserts. The other is a classic section with favorites you can choose if the daily menu doesn't appeal to you. Things like shrimp cocktail, caesar salad, steak, chicken and fish. Regardless of the restaurant you choose to dine in, you pick from the same daily and classic sections I mentioned before. However, the exclusive sections differ, offering three exclusive appetizers, three mains, and one dessert themed in their respective cuisine. These exclusive choices remain constant and can be enjoyed any night of your cruise. This is how each restaurant differs from the others. In short, there are more choices available to you.
