Is Beyond better than Apex & Edge? I am sailing on Celebrity Cruises’ brand new ship the Celebrity Beyond. The Celebrity Beyond is like the Celebrity Apex and Celebrity Edge, but with many new additions to this new ship. The new cruise ship Celebrity Beyond is the brand new ship of Celebrity Cruises. The Beyond had her inaugural sailing in April 2022, followed by an inaugural season in the Mediterranean. The Celebrity Beyond is captained by Captain Kate McCue and will be repositioned via a transatlantic in October 2022. The Celebrity Beyond will then be home-ported in Fort Lauderdale, where the new Celebrity Beyond will sail cruises to the Caribbean. The Sunset Bar on Celebrity Beyond is on the aft of the ship and was designed by Nate Berkus.
