Colmar, France is a best kept secret in France! It is a gorgeous little village with storybook buildings, canals and cobblestone streets. The eclectic architecture is adorned with creative decorations, which makes wandering through the streets an enchanting experience. I visited the Bartholdi Museum, the Marche Couvert, Petite Venice, and the St Martin Cathedral, among other historic buildings. After my visit to Colmar, I completed the day with a trip to the Black Forest, where I was able to hike, view a glass blowing demonstration, and a black forest cake demonstration. You can also watch a cuckoo clock making demo.
