CRUISE NEWS: Royal Caribbean Propulsion Issues, NCL Cancels 3 Months of Cruises, Carnival VIFP

Carnival Cruise Line brand John Heath has issued a reminder to cruise guests that while one of the benefits of upper level VIFP status is early stateroom access, it must also be noted that this early access is only available to certain guests and is not open to all passengers.

Parents of a young boy sailing aboard Royal Caribbean International's Enchantment of the Seas had a tense few minutes on the dock in Seno, Italy, when their 8-year-old son accidentally slipped off the dock in port and into the water between the pier and the cruise ship.

Guests aboard Royal Caribbean International's Oasis of the Seas did not get as much time to enjoy the Port Canaveral and Orlando area as planned on the ship's seven night current sailing due to a propulsion issue that has impacted the ship's speed.

In a surprising turn of events, Norwegian Cruise Line has announced the cancellation of Norwegian Escape Sailing from January the 3rd, 2025 through and including March 21st of that year.
