Here is the recipe (it works better if you use the weight measurements: 500g All Purpose Flour 25g Baking Powder 75g Sugar 125g Diced Cold Butter 4 Eggs 125ml cold milk 60g Golden Raisins (optional) Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine flour, baking powder, and sugar in a large bowl. Add the butter and, using your hands, break up the butter and combine with the dry ingredients (you can use a food processor, but doing this by hand is better). Add the golden raisins if desired. Beat 3 eggs with the milk. When the butter is fully incorporated in the flour mixture, create a well and add the eggs and milk. Use your hands to gently combine the liquid and the dry ingredients. Do not over work the dough. When the dough is combined and forms a ball, set out on a floured board and leave to rest for 5 minutes. With a rolling pin, roll out dough to about an inch to an inch and a half thickness. Use a cookie cutter to make the scones and place on a parchment lined sheet pan. Beat 1 egg and brush on top of scones. Place in preheated oven. Bake about 15 minutes or until the tops are golden brown. Place on a cooling rack and serve with jam and clotted cream. #holiday #recipe #afternoontea #cunard #scones #tradewindstravel #travel #CunardScones #BritishScones #afternoontea #christmasrecipes #holidaybaking #cruisefood #winterbaking #ElegantEntertaining #festivetreats
