"Cunard White Star" is BACK at the Eastleigh Lakeside Railway - 18/06/2023

A busy day at the Eastleigh Lakeside Railway with four Steam Locomotives in action on Sunday 18th June 2023. It was a special day as well as one of the locos in use was SR rebuilt 'Merchant Navy'-class 4-6-2 No.35004 "Cunard White Star" making her first runs at the railway since 2018 following her extensive repairs carried out at the South Downs Light Railway followed by numerous running days there and a visit to the Ingfield Light Railway as well. Also running on the Main Service was visiting B&SR 'Maxi-Lucky-Seven'-class 2-4-2 No.9 "Megan" whilst 'Romulus' 0-4-0 "Sanjo" made a rare outing to make sure she (like "Cunard White Star") is fit and ready for the 'OVER TO YOU GALA' which is next weekend. Finally there was 1000-class 'Bullock' 4-6-2 No.1001 "The Monarch" which was on Footplate Experience duties.
