Join us as Jon and I go on an excursion that we booked through the Celebrity Equinox cruise ship. The excursion we went on was called, Curacao Highlights and Beach Fun. We start out on a chartered bus and a guided tour on the bus all around the island of Curacao. The guide points out many areas of interest and speaks about the history and culture of Curacao. We found the guide to be very informative as well as funny! We stopped at the Curacao Liquor facility to see how it was made and to have a free tasting. We were then back on the bus and off to a beautiful beach club. At the beach club, the lounge chairs and umbrellas were free to use. They offer bar and food service at your lounge chair but also had a few restaurant's right there on property that you could go sit and drink/dine at. The beach club was PERFECT! It was everything and more for a beautiful relaxing day in the Caribbean. We stayed at the beach for a couple hours, had a small bite to eat and headed back for a 10 minute drive to the ship. Overall it was a great excursion, we enjoyed it thoroughly and would recommend it for anyone wanting a little history tour with a couple hours at the beach. We sat in the shade the entire time that we were not in the water. I do suggest, if you go on this excursion to go grab a lounge chair as soon as you get there, the ones that are completely in the shade go quickly. We pre-purchased this on the celebrity website, prior to the cruise and it saved us a good amount of money. Online it was $55.00 per person and on the ship it was $79.99 per person.
