Day 11 of a 12 day cruise in Africa

On day Day 11 of our cruise, we arrived in Cape Town, where we would be docking overnight. This meant I could book an excursion through an external company without fear of not getting back to the ship on time. So I booked a wine tasting trip for myself and my mum through @viator. We spent the morning at the old biscuit mill, which is now a shopping centre full of boutique style shops. We were picked up from the brewery and driven through the beautiful countryside to our first winery, Fairview where we sampled 6 of their wines, paired with cheeses, which we tried with and without lavender syrup (which I had to but because omg, it was amazing and I now dip everything in it 😂). Our host here was very informative and entertaining. From here, we went on to Marianne, a boutique winery where we were seated out on a deck overlooking the vineyards. The wines here were paired with biltong, which I hadn't tried before, I needed something to soak up the alcohol (dried meat us not up to the job, lol).
