Disney Magic 8 Night Mediterranean with Greek Isles Cruise June 2022 European Cruise The Disney Med cruise itinerary was: Day 1 - Civitavecchia, Rome, Italy Day 2 - Messina Sicily (Taormina) Day 3 - At Sea Day 4 - Mykonos, Greece Day 5 - Santorini, Greece Day 6 - Athens, Greece (Piraeus) Day 7 - At Sea Day 8 - Naples (Pompeii), Italy Then Day 9 we debarked and explored Rome and Vatican City It's Day 8 on our 8 night Disney med cruise! It's our final full day on board the Disney Magic! So we made a big mistake not booking a Disney excursion for this stop, do not make the same mistake!!! So we start off at Cabanas, I show you the port of Naples and explain how the plan today is to go straight to Sorrento and then come back via Pompeii. Unfortunately this doesn't go to plan! I show you how to get to Sorrento from Naples port. There's a short walk to the metro, Duomo. Then one stop to Giribaldi. We get to Giribaldi station where we are meant to get a train straight to Sorrento but there was a train strike!!! All trains were cancelled until the afternoon. We had no choice but to get a taxi to Pompeii. It was fairly expensive but at least it meant we got to see Pompeii! At one point we didn't think we were getting there! We wasted a lot of time and energy but we finally got to Pompeii and had a look around the ruins of Pompeii, Mount Vesuvius etc. We had to get a taxi there due to the strikes. A taxi from Naples was $70 plus tip. After looking around Pompeii we walked to Pompeii Scavi which is the train station and got the first train back to Naples after the strike! It was very hectic! With a big sigh of relief we make it back to the ship! I talk about what went wrong and what I would recommend doing in the future. We shower, refresh, hydrate and get some lunch from the quick service. I also show you the eye scream free mr whippy ice cream! We get back to our stateroom and we have the envelopes for tipping our servers and the luggage tags to get our suitcases outside for them to take to port for us the next day. Next up is our final dining experience in Lumieres! I show you the menu, what we order etc it's lobster night! We set sail as we are eating. We get back to our stateroom and we have a crab towel animal waiting for us!! We go and see Dr Strange at the Buena Vista theatre - we loved it! Then it's time for bed!!! I hope you enjoyed the vlog.
