Dinner in the Main Dining Room of Holland America's MS Koningsdam on an Alaskan Cruise - Sept 2024

During our Alaskan cruise aboard Holland America’s MS Koningsdam in September 2024, my wife and I enjoyed a memorable dinner in the ship’s elegant main dining room, savoring the fresh bounty of Alaska’s waters. We started with a variety of appetizers that set the tone for a flavorful evening. The fresh Alaskan breaded cod slider was crisp on the outside with flaky, tender fish inside, offering a perfect bite-sized introduction. Next, the Alder smoked salmon chowder delivered a smoky depth that paired beautifully with the creamy texture of the soup, while the Alaskan crab seafood chowder was rich with the flavors of the sea. The sweet tomato and fresh buffalo mozzarella added a refreshing, light contrast, balancing the richness of the seafood starters. For our entrées, I had the fresh seared Alaskan rockfish, a delicately prepared dish with a mild flavor and perfectly crispy skin.
