During our Alaskan cruise aboard Holland America’s MS Koningsdam in September 2024, my wife and I enjoyed a memorable dinner in the ship’s elegant main dining room, savoring the fresh bounty of Alaska’s waters. We started with a variety of appetizers that set the tone for a flavorful evening. The fresh Alaskan breaded cod slider was crisp on the outside with flaky, tender fish inside, offering a perfect bite-sized introduction. Next, the Alder smoked salmon chowder delivered a smoky depth that paired beautifully with the creamy texture of the soup, while the Alaskan crab seafood chowder was rich with the flavors of the sea.
