Creator's Key Takeaways

I love all the white buildings and everything.

I think Stavanger was my favorite cuz there was a lot to see and do without going on an excursion or paying for anything.

The maintenance has been subpar on this cruise.

I would check when the ship's going into dry dock, and I wouldn't book another cruise before dry dock.

Creator's Tips & Advice

Check when the ship is going into dry dock before booking a cruise.

A picturesque port filled with white wooden houses, cobbled streets and cosy cafés. After breakfast, we explore the town in the rain, visiting local shops and landmarks such as the Valberg Tower, before stopping at a bakery for affordable pastries. We also share tips for independent exploration in Norway, from using Google Lens for sightseeing information to alternatives to Disney’s organised tours. Back onboard, I relax in our stateroom whilst Gary heads to the Animation Drawing Class to sketch Cheshire Cat and meets Goofy & Max. We talk about character meet queues onboard and share advice on how to plan your time if you want to meet popular characters like Stitch, Woody, Jessie, and/or Chip ’n’ Dale. We also order room service with Disney Cruise Line classics like chicken tenders, fries and a cheese plate, before heading to Meridian for a glass of Cloudem Blue and a pre-dinner toast. Dinner is in Enchanted Garden, featuring sautéed shrimp on jambalaya rice, green lentil soup, and the popular turkey dinner with cranberry sauce. Day seven begins with a rocky sea day and breakfast at Royal Court, where we enjoy Southern Hash, smoked salmon bagels and Mickey Waffles. We take a walk on Deck 4 to enjoy the sea views before joining in the Disney movie and music quizzes in O’Gills Pub and The Tube. With live piano performances, Disney trivia and friendly competition, it’s a perfect way to spend our final day onboard. In the evening, Gary sees the Broadway-style show “Believe,” while I pack and enjoy the sunset from our verandah. Our final dinner is in Royal Court, featuring lobster, oxtail soup, Parmesan-crusted chicken and Chocolate Lava Cake. Back in our stateroom, our stateroom host Kryzza leaves an incredible towel animal, we discuss how to leave feedback using the survey QR code, and we close out the trip with Gary and I sharing our full cruise review, highlights, feedback and reflections. From our favourite ports to our thoughts on the ship’s dry dock and maintenance, we summarise the whole experience. We also chat about what’s next for the channel, including my upcoming trip to Florida. It’s been a fun time with Gary aboard the Disney Fantasy. Thank you for joining us every step of the way!
