Creator's Key Takeaways
I got up so early because we ordered a continental breakfast from room service that arrived promptly at 6:30 a.m.
While my family slept, I had a coffee and a donut out on our veranda and watched the sunrise, which was so serene and one of my favorite moments of the trip.
I interviewed some of the creative team behind the Hercules show that is new for the Destiny and attended a panel where I learned about some of the crazy advanced technology behind the incredible puppets in the show.
The kids played in the sand and the water while my wife and I had drinks delivered to us at our beach chairs, which I think is the definition of paradise.

✨ Disney Destiny Day 3: the grand finale! Here’s everything I did on my final day aboard the Disney Destiny, and why it was the perfect ending to an incredible sailing. I woke up very early for a continental room-service breakfast that arrived right at 6:30 AM. While my family slept, I took my coffee and donut out to our veranda and watched the sun rise over the ocean. This was one of my favorite moments of the entire trip. Pure serenity. Then it was straight into interviews with the creative team behind the brand-new Hercules stage show. I also attended a panel that dove deep into the wild technology powering the Titans puppets. (I learned so much… check out my video on the crazy cool exoskeleton tech Imagineering created 👀) Next up: my first ever ride on the AquaMouse (so much fun and so much water), followed by another round of surprisingly amazing barbecue at Mickey’s Festival of Foods. Seriously, don’t skip out on the ribs. We spent a few hours at Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island. The kids played in the sand and water while my wife and I had drinks delivered to our beach chairs — which I’m pretty sure is the official definition of paradise. Back onboard, we had dinner at Worlds of Marvel and absolutely crushed Marvel trivia. Then it was date night: after dropping the kids at the Oceaneer Club and nursery, my wife picked The Rose for her nightcap, and I picked the Haunted Mansion Parlor… which tells you everything you need to know about both of us. We ended the night with the grand finale moment in the Grand Hall. And just like that, our Destiny was fulfilled. The next morning we grabbed breakfast at Marceline Market, picked up our bags, and stepped back into the real world. This sailing was incredible. My thanks to Disney for the invite. I have so much more to share, from tech deep dives to hidden secrets across the ship to what I will do differently on my next Disney cruise.
