Disney: Magic Kingdom 3am Departure (Empty park during Extra Magic Hours)

The Walt Disney World resort features four parks. The main and oldest being the Magic Kingdom. It is typical for the Magic Kingdom to have the longest hours on any given day of the year. On Sunday October 13th the Magic Kingdom was open from 8am until 1am. As a bonus to the guests staying onsite at one of the many Disney World Resort hotels Disney created a program called Extra Magic Hours. Each day a different park has it's hours extended by an hour in the morning and another park by up to 2 hours in the evening. These bonus hours are not open to the general ticket holders or season pass holders so it's often a great time to hit some of the more popular rides. When these hours fall from 1am to 3am as they did on this day it can result in a completely empty park and an experience not many get to have. It's also the most relaxing way to end a 19.5 hour day at the Magic Kingdom.
