Disney Wonder: Juneau, Alaska

Our second port stop took us to Alaska's capital city, Juneau. This city is known for its glaciers and its whales, and we were lucky to see both. We had an early morning excursion, so after breakfast we were escorted off the Wonder and headed to our first stop, a whale watching tour. We saw so many whales on this excursion, along with seals, Dall's porpoises, and beautiful scenery. After our tour was over, we headed to Mendenhall Glacier, where we got great views of the glacier and also of Nugget Falls. We also enjoyed a trip to the visitor's center and even saw an eagle while we were there. Before we knew it, our excursion was over and were dropped off downtown. Before boarding the ship, we got lunch at Tracy's King Crab Shack and we weren't disappointed! The crab was so good, and it was well worth the time that we spent in line. After lunch we did some shopping and exploring of Juneau before getting back on board, where we played a round of Bingo (we didn't win, didn't even come close). Tonight was the production of Frozen in the Walt Disney Theater and that show never disappoints, it's so good! It was then time for 00's Music Trivia and we actually won (well we tied), but we were rewarded with Disney Cruise Line hats! Dinner was in Animator's Palate where we were able to create our own animation figure and watch it come alive at the end.
