About our Bacon Score methodology
YouTube Video Description↓

http://www.TravelsWithSheila.com As I had suspected, the Underground/Subterranean River was a cross between "Pirates of The Caribbean" and a jungle cruise in the dark. Do you really want to hear a running comentary by a boatman? "This rock looks like a giraffe...we call that the holy family, etc." If so, this excursion is for you. We waded ashore from the outrigger and walked a short distance on a boardwalk to register once again. The Park enforces a strict "No Permit. No Entry" policy. Life vests and hard hats were distributed and we waited for our turn to climb into the small river boat. Ten river boats are rowed by boatmen who give a running commentary on the different formations during the half hour trip. The most interesting part of the dark river journey was the thousands of bat colonies hanging from the ceiling. Do not open your mouth! Seriously! Unless you relish ingesting bat drippings. Eewww... I kept waiting for a pirate to jump out singing "Yo ho, yo ho, a pirates life for me" but it didn't happen. If you still decide to visit despite my thoughts, go early in the morning or late in the afternoon. Perhaps the afternoon journey would allow you to witness over 40,000 bats emerging from the cave. Now THAT would be interesting... Please don't forget to Subscribe Share and Like. Thanks.
