The Eastleigh Lakeside Railway's 2010 'Summer Gala' was held on Sunday 11th July. Up to eighteen locomotives were in action including MVR 2-4-4T No.9 "Jason" from the Moors Valley Railway. There is a close friendship between these two railways and quite often locos from Moors Valley will visit the ELR. However, only a small handful of the ELR's locos can visit Moors Valley due to the gauge of 7 1/4 inches. Eastleigh Lakeside has both 7 1/4 and 10 1/4 gauges. Also visiting was the green privately-owned Unnamed 'Romulus' 0-4-0 that was at the Moors Valley gala. The full locomotive line-up consisted of... - BR 'Britannia'-class 4-6-2 No.70055 "Rob Roy" - LNER A4-class 4-6-2 No.4498 "Sir Nigel Gresley" - LMSR 'Coronation'-class 4-6-2 No.6220 "Coronation" - LMSR 'Royal Scot'-class 4-6-0 No.6100 "Royal Scot" - SR LN-class 'Lord Nelson' 4-6-0 No.E850 "Lord Nelson" - SR 'Atlantic'-class 4-4-2 No.1908 "Ernest Henry Upton" - ELR 'Bullock'-class 4-6-2 No.2006 "Edward VIII" - ELR 'Bullock'-class 4-6-2 No.1002 "The Empress" - ELR 'Bullock'-class 4-6-2 No.1001 "The Monarch" - ELR 'Atlantic'-class 4-4-2 No.4789 "William Baker" - ELR 'Maxi-Lucky-Seven'-class 2-4-2 No.7 "Sandy River" - ELR 'Northern Rock'-class 2-6-2 No.10 "Sir Arthur Heywood" - ELR 4-8-4 No.3 "Francis Henry Lloyd" - MVR 2-4-4T No.9 "Jason" (visiting from the Moors Valley Railway) - 0-6-0T "Sgt.
