Embarkation day on the Celebrity Constellation turned out to be one of the easiest cruise boarding experiences we’ve had! We started in Tampa where the weather was surprisingly cold for Florida. Boarding the ship was incredibly smooth and fast, but we had an unusual stop to make right after embarkation. I had to visit Guest Services to arrange something very specific: freezing my Serum Tears eye drops, sometimes called “blood tears.” Serum Tears are special eye drops made from a patient’s own blood serum and are often prescribed for severe dry eye or after certain medical treatments. Because they are preservative-free, they must be kept frozen until needed. Guest Services on the ship helped store them safely in the medical freezer.
