Alaska offers several different types of shore excursions to see dog sledding. However, our most recent excursion was even more amazing as we actually got to ride on a summertime dogsled in Skagway Alaska. We also toured the dog kennel to meet the alaskan sled dogs and the new puppies! On past cruises to Alaska we have been on dog mushing excursions where you get to watch a dog sledding demonstration and get to meet the dogs and hold puppies. We have had a great time. We also had a good time in Skagway and eating at the Red Onion Saloon and the Klondike Brewery. We've traveled to over 45 countries and visited more than 70 cruise ship ports of call.
