EXPLORER OF THE SEAS | VENTURA | QUEEN VICTORIA | QM2 departures 23/06/19

It was a very nice and warm afternoon on the 23rd June 2019 when the Royal Caribbean 'Explorer of The Seas', P&O Cruises 'Ventura', Cunard 'Queen Victoria' & the Cunard 'Queen Mary 2' all departed from their Cruise Terminals for their next adventures on the seas and we were treated to a nice chorus of horned salutes from these ships as they departed Southampton. The first to depart was the Royal Caribbean 'Explorer of The Seas' from the City Cruise Terminal at 16:52pm for a 14 Night Cruise to Scandinavia & Russia and her first port call is to Oslo in Norway. The Cunard 'Queen Victoria' departed from the Mayflower Cruise Terminal at 17:00pm she had to make her turn around in the upper swinging ground so took a little while to pass by so ended up following behind the 'Ventura' which departed at 17:15pm, the 'Queen Victoria' is away for a 7 Night Cruise to the Netherlands, Belgium & France but her first port call is to Guernsey in the Channel Islands & as she passed her fleet mate the 'Queen Mary 2' both ships gave a horned salute. The P&O Cruises 'Ventura' departed from the Ocean Cruise Terminal at 17:15pm for a 14 Night Cruise to Iceland & her first port call is to Torshavn in the Faroe Islands and will also be calling into Greenock in Scotland and Belfast in Northern Ireland. Last of all these ships to depart from Southampton was the Cunard 'Queen Mary 2' at 18:32pm from the QEII Cruise Terminal she is doing a transatlantic one-way trip to New York and from there she will be doing a 7 Night American Independence Day Celebration Themed Cruise before returning to Southampton on the 14th July 2019.
