It's a beautiful day. It's cool. It's not cold. The clouds are coming out though.

I highly recommend Sabatini's Italian treato to riia. It was really good.

My biggest tip for y'all here and in most of Europe... prepare for very little public toilets.

What a beautiful day in Hajesund.

Creator's Tips & Advice

Prepare for very little public toilets in Europe; keep change for paid restrooms.
Use Google Translate app for signs in foreign languages.
Consider walking instead of hop-on-hop-off bus if reviews suggest it's not worth the price.

About our Bacon Score methodology
YouTube Video Description

Join us as we explore Haugesund, Norway, our very first port on our Norway and Iceland cruise onboard the Sky Princess with Princess Cruises. We started our day with delicious Honey Lavender Lattes from the International Café before stepping off the ship and heading toward the heart of Haugesund. Haugesund, located on the southwest coast of Norway, has a rich maritime history and is considered the "birthplace of Norway" due to its connection to Viking King Harald Fairhair, who unified the country. The town has grown into a hub for shipping and offshore industries, giving it a modern and industrial feel—until you cross the bridge into its charming city center. Instead of booking a shore excursion or taking the $50 Hop-On Hop-Off bus, we decided to explore Haugesund on foot. We found unique shops, local restaurants, and even visited a nearby mall with free Wi-Fi. Brittney discovered a beautiful Alpaca fur shop, where she picked up the cutest alpaca keychain—ethically made without harming the animals. We grabbed a cheap bite at a small local fast-food spot (mixed reviews 😅) and tried Google Translate’s camera feature for the first time—what a game changer for navigating foreign menus and signs! 💡 Travel tip: Public restrooms in Norway can be hard to find, often with long lines or requiring a small fee or purchase—so plan ahead! We wrapped up our Haugesund adventure with dinner at Sabatini's Italian Trattoria onboard the Sky Princess. At $55 per person, it was hands-down the best Italian dining experience at sea—well worth it! Back in our stateroom by 11 PM, we were amazed to see the sky still glowing—the midnight sun is a surreal experience in Norway’s summer months! ✨ Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more videos from our Princess Cruises journey through Norway and Iceland.
