It is a popular escape for local residents and joggers There are rest facilities within for loo stops and drinking fountains to refill those water bottles Sign boards guide to the best trails to suit your available time and levels of fitness from the gentle 2km long Prunus-Petai trail to the more arduous 10km long MacRitchie Nature trail taking in impressive treetop walk or the 11km long MacRitchie loop that takes in the Jelutong Tower This is great walking and adventure for those who like to hike and walk …. The sights, sounds and smells of lush jungle and rainforest are simply breathtaking. It’s easy to see why this is Singapores most popular nature destination and why so many Singapore residents come here to get back to nature. Our adventures took us to the treetop walk and we didn’t regret it. Being 25m up in the canopy of the forest provided some spectacular views and we experienced Singapore’s nature at its best, including those mischievous macaques. Take our advice and keep food and snacks out of sight when you encounter these cheeky characters. Getting here is easy and we accessed it by taking a short walk from the Bright Hill MRT station on the Thompson East Coast line.
