The 96-guest National Geographic Endeavour II is first on the scene as Fernandina Volcano erupts. Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic guests arrived at 12:30 on Monday and stayed in the vicinity until late in the evening crossing the equator under a full moon as steam and flame rose from the eruption. The volcano, most active of all Galápagos volcanoes, last erupted in 2009. Fernandina is the westernmost, most isolated of the Galápagos Islands and uninhabited. Video by Eric Wehrmeister.
