I took my first flight in over a year a few weeks ago and the experience was surprising. I used to fly every month, and spent a lot of time travelling overseas to get to cruise ships that I spoke aboard as a guest lecturer. But since the pandemic, I hadn't been on an aircraft in over a year! This was my first trip - filmed in March 2021 - a short domestic flight on a Qantas Boeing 737-800. I was flying in Business Class. The main reason for my trip was to get some photographs for a story I was writing about Australia's regional airports (Airports of the World magazine) but I took the opportunity to film the experience. I asked my subscribers if they'd like to see an aviation trip report - 66% of you said yes - so here it is! The flight was a 45 minute domestic trip on a Qantas Boeing 737-800. The meal was a hot breakfast and coffee.
