Join Shaz and TG for a Friday walk through time as we journey from our current home in Point Piper back to the streets where our family’s story began in 1935. As third-generation locals, we’ve seen Bondi transform across nine decades—from the working-class playground our grandparents moved to, to the world-famous (and sometimes architecturally questionable) icon it is today. In this video, we walk from New South Head Road through O’Sullivan Road and Curlewis Street, sharing the history of each corner and having a laugh at some of the "unique" modern architecture that’s replaced the classics we grew up with. We wrap up the walk on the Bondi Promenade, heading down to the old 'ramp' which was our original teenage hangout spot where we spent every weekend and school holiday. It’s a nostalgic trip filled with stories of growing up in the 70s and 80s, the changes to Hall Street, and why, no matter where we live now, Bondi will always be home.
