Greetings from the Bahamas, and welcome to Half Moon Cay, Carnival and Holland America’s private island and cruise port. On today’s agenda? Horseback Riding by Land and Sea. This is a 45 minute horseback ride, taking you through the jungle trails of Half Moon Cay before heading to the beach, where, weather permitting, you'll switch saddles and swim with your horse in the ocean. My experience was hampered a bit by weather, so we were only allowed beach riding in the surf - but it was still a great time! I did have a little luck on my side though, as my Holland America cruise returned to Half Moon Cay just a couple of days later - so I still got to watch the horses swim!
