I was lucky to be on the inaugural sailing of the brand new hybrid Hurtigruten expedition ship MS Fridtjof Nansen. Its maiden voyage was a showcase 5-night cruise from London to Liverpool and it was amazing to be literally the first person to ever stay in my cabin! That has never happened before. My cabin was in the Arctic Superior category - a twin/double with a balcony. I was VERY impressed. It was the swankiest, biggest cabin I've ever had on a Hurtigruten ship (this was my third ever Hurtigruten sailing) with a sleek, modern touch and the balcony was beautifully deep. The cabin had lots of unexpected new touches and the attention to detail was remarkable - from eco touches to ones of privacy and functionality. There was so much more to say about this cabin versus others I normally stay in on a ship - watch and you'll see why. Really, really lovely. Thank you Hurtigruten!
