The 360 Video Tour allows the viewer to control where they look. Walking through areas with still clips from some venues embedded in you can move around to look 360º by clicking and dragging on your computer or moving your phone/tablet around in the air. For the best experience even view it on a VR headset for a truly immersive tour. Gone from the Icon of the Sea is the traditional sports deck. In its place is Thrill Island. This new area at the back of deck 16 combines the thrills and activities of the classic sports deck with a brand new water park. One deck above the Windjammer this area can be accessed from the deck 16 elevator lobby, or deck 16 of Chill Island on the Port Side and decks 15 and 17 via stairs on the starboard side. The port side features the thrill activities starting with the brand new Crown's Edge. This premium experience combines a rope course with a thrilling zipline that extends over the ocean. The Adrenaline Peak brings back the Royal Caribbean staple rock climbing wall. Reaching the back of the port side is then a large area occupied by Lost Dunes, the miniature golf course. The port side also features a full size basketball course that serves as a multi-purpose sports court. This large space is elevated one deck higher allowing for a brand new fremium dining venue and bar, Basecamp, to be located in the space below it. The starboard side stretching around the aft of the ship is the Category 6 waterpark. This brand new waterpark concept features a tropical storm theme with 6 waterslides located on two different towers. The largest tower located at the starboard side forward entrance has 3 a mix of 3 slides. The yellow Pressure Drop slide features an open freefall drop of 66º. Above it are a pair of family raft slides. The pink Hurricane Hunter features a variety of light, sound, and water elements as the raft makes its way through the 425 foot long slide. The green Storm Surge features a translucent zero gravity wall that extends over the side of the ship. The very back of the starboard side features the return of a single FlowRider while the aft side features the other waterslide tower. The orange Frightening Bolt slide features a drop hatch allowing sliders to vertically drop right into this 282 foot long body slide. The other two blue slides are a pair of dueling may slides known as Storm Chasers. Thrill Island exists on all of the Icon class ships including Icon of the Seas, Star of the Seas, & Legend of the Seas. This tour was filmed during the 5/4/2024 while on a pair of 7 night Caribbean sailings from Miami.
