Royal Caribbean is known for their massive ships with tons of bells and whistles. When it comes to largest cruise ships in the world they currently hold the top 5 spots with a soon to be new number one with the Icon of the Seas. We are going to take a look at some of the similarities and differences between the Icon class and the Oasis class of cruise ships. The Oasis Class of ships include the Oasis of the Seas, Wonder, Allure, Symphony, Harmony and Utopia of the Seas. These ships have been the largest in the world since 2009 and can accommodate over 6,500 guests. The Icon of the Seas is bigger in Tonnage and guest capacity. In our comparison of the Oasis class vs Icon class we look at some quick stats, neighbourhoods, activities, restaurants, and rooms. When comparing the Icon of the Seas vs Wonder of the Seas something really stood out to us. The Icon has an 8% increase in passenger capacity but only a 2% increase in guests. So will that be noticed at dinner service or other areas of the ship. The other very interesting point you will notice when doing an Icon of the Seas tour is that there are two less elevators and 2 extra decks for passengers. The Icon of the Seas update also includes the neighbourhoods. Some are back but others are gone and some new ones to explore.
