Independence of the Seas: Rock Britannia Party

The Royal Promenade onboard Royal Caribbean ships act as a large central corridor to easily get from one end of the ship to the other. It also acts as the largest entertainment venue at sea with a full lighting and sound system designed to rival that of any theater. During a cruise each ship features a series of two parades and depending on the cruise director street parties may be held as well. During the November 22, 2012 Westbound Transatlantic sailing cruise director Joff Eaton held the Independence of the Seas traditional secondary parade on the 9th day, November 30th. The Rock Britannia Street Party is the Independence of the Seas secondary party held on the longer sailings while departing from Southampton England. This was the final showing for it until the ships return in May as the party is not put on during the caribbean sailings from Fort Lauderdale. The primary 70's party held earlier in the sailing (unfortunately not filmed) will continue to be put on during every sailing regardless of home port.
