While in Juneau, Alaska we take the public bus up near Mendenhall Glacier. We hike up the rest of the way. We took the #8 bus from the Downtown Transit Center. Then we take the bus to Costco. He was a lone black wolf that lived in the Mendenhall valley for several years (2003-2009) until poachers killed him. An artist/taxidermist was commissioned to make him look as much like he did when he was alive and he now rests above the exit door.
