About our Bacon Score methodologyYouTube Video Descriptionβ
Our first stop on our Viking River Cruise - The Rhine Getaway was Kinderdijk in The Netherlands. A UNESCO World Heritage site for many years, this is the largest concentration of windmills in The Netherlands. Set in the most picturesque landscape, it's a beautiful walk around these historic technological marvels. These windmills and the pump stations with them controlled water management and milling. At the site, you can visit inside the pump house, go inside one windmill set up as a museum, visit the cafe and shop and enjoy the history and beauty of the area. It is well marked with signage and information and an enjoyable way to spend a few hours. #history #travel #europe #kinderdijk #windmill #windmills #unesco_world_heritage_site #holland #thenetherlands #rhineriver #rivercruise Music from Bensound.com Chapters 00:00 Introduction 00:29 The Windmills 01:29 Cat's Cradle 02:05 Map of the Sight 02:44 Pumping Station 03:23 Walking Around the Windmills 06:21 Inside a Windmill
