In this vlog we climb the 3rd highest mountain in England, Helvellyn!! I start off in the Thirlmere car park, I show you where to park if you are coming to Helvellyn, where to start the Helvellyn climb. You then see us go up Helvellyn! I let you know how long Helvellyn takes, the difficulty level, some top tips for climbing and how we got up and down. We get to the top of Helvellyn, soak it all in and go back down again. I hope you enjoy going up this mountain with us!! When we are back down, we go to our hotel. We are staying at the Rothay Garden Hotel and Spa by Harbour Hotels situated in Grasmere. I give you a tour of the ground and our Loughrigg room. We then spend hours at the Rothay Garden Hotel Spa and it was incredible. I show you a quick look at the spa. It has a huge hot tub, sauna, steam room and showers. We then have dinner at Rothay Garden as we wanted to stay in the hotel. We go out to Grasmere for a short walk as the hotel is so well situated. We walk around a quiet Grasmere and we walk to William Wordsworth's grave and we go to his daffodil garden. We get some ice creams and enjoy our evening back at the hotel. The next morning I show you more of the hotel grounds and then we head into breakfast. I show you the breakfast available at the hotel before heading back into Grasmere. In Grasmere we go to the famous Sarah Nelson's Grasmere Gingerbread, we also go to the old garden centre but it's now a store selling local produce called Grasmere Gather. We look around the shop and then drive into Ambleside. We get some famous kendal mint cake, lake district fudge and our favourite flapjacks at Apple Pie bakery. We walk past the famous smallest house and then back to the car to head home! I hope you enjoyed this Lake District vlog and enjoyed climbing Helvellyn with us!
