Loco Movement to the Mid-Hants Railway - 22/10/2013

Two years ago, the Mid-Hants Railway's 'Autumn Steam Gala' was held over the last weekend of October and featured three main-line approved locomotives: BR(E) A1-class 4-6-2 No.60163 "Tornado", BR 'Britannia'-class 4-6-2 No.70000 "Britannia" & LNER A4-class 4-6-2 No.60019 "Bittern". Now, in 2013, a very similar event/line-up is to be seen, only this time, it's SR rebuilt 'West Country'-class 4-6-2 No.34046 "Braunton" visiting along with "Tornado" (now in BR Blue) & "Britannia" (now in BR Green). The three locomotives traveled in a triple-headed formation (tender-first) on Tuesday 22nd October, with two Support Coaches ("Tornado's" & "Britannia's") from Southall via Willesden, Kensington Olympia, Clapham Junction, Staines & Woking to Alton where they then moved over onto the Mid-Hants Railway itself in readiness for the gala which commences on Friday. The run is seen at Woking and then Alton.
