Join us as we explore the stunning city of Valencia during our stop on the Marella cruise! Here’s what we got up to: 🚌 Getting into town: We took the shuttle bus provided by Marella (£6 return per person) and such an easy way to get into town. 🏰 Sightseeing highlights: • First stop: Torres de Serranos – a stunning tower with a beautiful gateway arch. • Walked to Plaza de Manises, which features the grand MYR Palacio Vallier Hotel. • Next was Plaza de la Virgen with the impressive Turia Fountain and charming orange trees in the gardens. • We entered the Basilica, but as communion was in session, we didn’t take photos out of respect. • Saw the Metropolitan Cathedral nearby, another must-see spot in Valencia. • Tip: The streets are lined with polished stone, so make sure to wear suitable footwear! • Plaza de l’Ajuntament (City Hall Square), where we wrapped up our tour before heading back to the shuttle bus. 🥐 Lunch recommendation: Stopped by Granier for a quick bite and tried the local Fartons (a sweet pastry)—a perfect midday treat! 🍴 Dinner onboard: Back on the ship, we dined at 47 Degrees were Jonny had a really special dessert. 🎵 Evening entertainment: • Enjoyed “The Greatest” show—so good, we may have filmed every song! • Headed to the Squid & Anchor for the Marellionaore game show. • Loved the Island Vibes sail away party! 🍔 Late-night snacks: Ended the day with a visit to the Glasshouse for some late-night bites.
