Creator's Key Takeaways
So, this cruise is on board Marella Explorer 2. So, this is a new ship for us, so we're excited to show you around as we explore ourselves.
It's been a long travel day today. I think it's about 20 to 6:00 I think we've been up since, and now it's half four or what? Five? Yeah. It's been a long day.
Life is great. As Dane goes to get us another drink cuz he's very kind. Just look, country rhythms, it's there. We are on another themed cruise and we didn't even know it.
We had a great night. Lots of line dancing happening, which we tried picking up, but didn't I didn't manage to pick up any.

About our Bacon Score methodologyYouTube Video Descriptionβ
Hi everyone, In this week's video we start the Marella Explorer 2 Canarian Flavours cruise series with our travel day / #embarkationday . We start at Manchester airport and have breakfast at the newly opened Great Northern Market. We fly to Gran Canaria and after what felt like a very long travel day we make it onboard #marellacruises Explorer 2. We go to our cabin first to drop off our bags and do the cabin tour of our outside cabin. If you would like to see this the link is - https://youtu.be/a-whnF0sI9c We had a look at the cruise news and saw cowboy boot symbols next to different entertainment options and we realised we had one night of the themed cruise, Country Rhythms. We then decided to go to the pool deck for the first drink of the holiday and we saw the first cow mascot! The weather was lovely so we relaxed here for a little while before going to our muster station to complete the muster drill. We then went back to the cabin and were pleasantly surprised that our cases had already arrived. We unpacked and then got ready for the evening. We had our evening meal in The Market Place which is the buffet on board, we found the selection a bit limited on this night but it did improve on later visits. After our meal and after getting a bit lost we finally made our way over to Squid and Anchor for some live music. We did find the yellow cow on our way there too! The Charmed were the live duo playing country classics in here and it was good to see people getting up dancing. We then make our way to Indigo Club to watch Muzzik Unlimited and to also get a couple of fun cocktails especially the smoky margarita that was served in a smoke box! We spent a bit of time in Flutes trying a few different bellinis and there was more live music from Danilo, this was a nice chilled vibe. We then finished the night back at Squid and Anchor where the country bandjam was taking place. Lots of line dancing and a great atmosphere. We enjoyed the night but we did realise we are more into country pop, maybe more recent artists than what was played and we definitely can't line dance but it was fun all the same haha We were excited to see what the rest of the week's entertainment would be like when it went back to the normal schedule too! We can't wait to share more of the #cruisevlogs with you! We hope you enjoyed today's video, if you did we would really appreciate it if you would 'like' the video as it really helps!
