Marella Explorer 2 | Funchal Madeira | Vista | Tucker Comedian | Day 4 | Canarian Flavours 2026

Hi everyone! In this week's video we arrive in Funchal, Madeira in #portugal . We have a quick breakfast from the Market Place buffet, this was actually really good and then we get off the ship to explore. We started with a walk around Funchal, saw the Madeira sign and then went to our first food stop of the day Nata 7. We tried a Pastel de Nata and a Madeira wine, we really enjoyed this but probably wouldn't get the wine again. Next we continued walking and went to the Mercado Dos Lavradores which was a market here. Next we thought it was time to try another local speciality. We went to Casa do Bolo do Caco for their dish, Bolo do Caco which is a type of bread made on the island. We both had different versions of this both with minute steak, this was incredible and would love to try it again one day! We also tried a Poncha drink here and a Balao beer. After a lot of food and drinks we went to see the Funchal Cathedral which was beautiful inside and we then stumbled upon a Carnival food and drink market. This was brilliant, we got to sample a few different local drinks and the atmosphere and vibe was electric! We loved it here and it really added to the day. We decided to then start making our way back to the #marellacruises ship with a little stop off to see the Cristiano Ronaldo statue and museum CR7. Once back on board we relaxed on the pool deck for a little while before it was time to get ready for the evening. Tonight we decided to eat at Vista which is the Italian section of the main dining room. Laura had the carbonara which is prepared in the parmesan wheel. The food, drinks and service in here were fantastic, we really enjoyed our meals! We didn't get dessert as we were full and also wanted to make it to the quiz in Squid and Anchor, this was rock music themed. Unfortunately not the exact music we really listened to so we didn't win! We listened to some live music from Danilo and Dane got invited to have a look at the Gin and Whisky Bar behind the counter for a better look! We then took part in the rock music themed game show which was a lot of fun with half the room competing against the other. We then went to the Broadway Show Lounge and saw the comedian, Tucker. He was so funny, really glad we saw him! We then went to the Indigo bar for the silent disco. We love a silent disco! This time we found the music a bit hit and miss but still fun and we got to finish the night listening to Madness. We had some late night buffet and then called it a day after this and went back to the cabin. We had such an amazing day that felt so long in all the right ways!
