Our Day in Port Klang saw us travel into Kuala Lumpur. This 2 hour journey landed us firstly at the incredible BATU Caves. This spectacular Hindu temple is set in a 400 million year old limestone cave and fronted by a golden 45m statue. Simply spectacular. Climbing the 272 steps up into the caves was so worth while and the worship in the temple was both inspiring and humbling. Long tailed macaques pester visitors however and one injured a member of our party. After getting medical treatment our tour continued and we visited the Kings Palace before heading to take the iconic snapshot of the Petronas Towers, still the worlds highest twin towers. A fine lunch was provided in the nearby Concorde Hotel before we headed to Independence Square to soak up the contrasting architecture. Lastly a trip to the Central Market for a spot of shopping before heading back to the ship for a deck BBQ and show.
