Mazatlán Mexico Cruise Port Day 🇲🇽 | Cliff Divers, Cathedral & Thanksgiving at Sea 🦃⚓

On this cruise port day in Mazatlán, Mexico, we booked a cruise-line open-air (topless) bus tour and spent the day seeing the city with a local guide. From ocean views along the Malecón to historic landmarks, this tour packed a lot into a short visit. One of the highlights of the day was watching Mazatlán’s famous cliff divers (El Clavadista) leap from high cliffs into the ocean below, perfectly timing their dives with the waves, a tradition passed down through generations. We also visited the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, explored Mazatlán’s historic center, admired public art along the Malecón, and squeezed in some souvenir shopping and authentic Mexican food. Back on the ship, we grabbed a quick bite at The Local, then relaxed by the waterfront before wrapping up our Thanksgiving with a non-traditional holiday dinner at Le Bistro, our favorite specialty dining restaurant on NCL, one we always make a point to visit.
