About our Bacon Score methodology
YouTube Video Description↓

Thinking of taking a trip to Machu Picchu or the Galapagos? Well, I completed this bucket list trip recently and it was out of this world! I joined a National Geographic/Lindblad Expedition billed "Peru and Galapagos Escape." I liked the idea of combining the two destinations, since they were relatively close. The itinerary kept us moving and included a pre-excursion in Lima, a post excursion in Quito, a visit to a weaving facility in Chinchero, climbing (or at least trying) the Incan ruins in Ollantaytambo, a short stay in Aguas Caliente, two very fun train trips, an epic day in Machu Picchu, a shortened visit to Cusco, and five wonderful days exploring various islands in the Galapagos. We hiked, snorkeled and kayaked on or around South Plaza, Sante Fe, Santiago and Genovesa Islands. It was a fabulous trip that was full of spectacular sights and wondrous sea life! @seniorsolotravel Facebook Travel Forum: https://www.facebook.com/groups/443309331791413 Senior Solo Travel Website: https://www.seniorsolotravel.net/ Machu Picchu-Galapagos Videos: 24 hrs in Lima: https://youtu.be/ycMXXNHU4WU Ollantaytambo: https://youtu.be/Ws_tENjXKtY Machu Picchu: https://youtu.be/8yPDoIGK3Xs Nat Geo Islander II Ship Overview: https://youtu.be/AZNIaLqMFqo Quito: https://youtu.be/wX3V0gNzJzA Snorkeling in the Galapagos: https://youtu.be/DZZUpxEF-hk Kayaking in the Galapagos: https://youtu.be/rWVxLajYkWo Peru & Galapagos Escape: https://youtu.be/-X0JSwHVV7k Please click subscribe to follow my senior and solo travel journeys! 0:00 Intro 1:14 Lima 1:50 Chinchero 2:23 Ollantaytambo 3:03 Trains 3:39 Aguas Caliente 4:02 Machu Picchu 5:04 Cusco 5:45 Galapagos 6:08 S Plaza Hike 6:55 Kayaking 7:28 Snorkeling 7:55 Lava Field 8:23 Genovesa Island 9:07 Tortoise Preserve 9:44 Quito 11:07 Advice
