"Normandie" & HMS "Queen Elizabeth" arriving into Portsmouth - 21/11/2017

One of my objectives for the latter part of this year was to try and see the Royal Navy's new Aircraft Carrier, the soon-to-be-commissioned HMS "Queen Elizabeth". Having missed her maiden arrival into Portsmouth in August and her departure additional sea trials in late October, I grabbed the opportunity to see her arrive on what was meant to be Monday 20th November 2017. However, after arriving I learned she'd turned away as it was too windy for her to attempt entering the narrow gateway into Portsmouth Harbour. Returning on Tuesday 21st, this time was successful and was able to watch the enormous vessel as she sailed past Southsea and into the harbour escorted by six tugs. The arrival of "Queen Elizabeth" is preceded by Brittany Ferries' "Normandie".
