This afternoon on the 12th August 2013 saw the departure of a new build container ship (2013) the OOCL Chongqing from Southampton's container port, she made her departure time of 13:24pm outbound for the Suez. The tugs that you see in the video assisting OOCL Chongqing are Svitzer Alma on the Bow with Svitzer Bentley on the Stern. Later in the afternoon came the arrival from Tangier of one of the (3) very largest of container ships to call on a regular basis now is, CMA CGM Alexander von Humboldt she is also a new build (2013) and was last in Southampton earlier this year on 25th May when she made her maiden call,, the first glimpse of her arriving for her second Southampton call is when she appears coming past dock head and the QEll Cruise Terminal which looks like she is near fully laden, then past town quay and on towards the container port being assisted by the tugs Svitzer Alma on the Bow, Svitzer Ferriby on the Stern with Svitzer Bentley on the port stern side. She then passed P&O Cruise ship (Aurora) which is berthed in the "Mayflower Cruise Terminal" and left shortly afterwards. Von Humboldt was along side her berth in the container port by 17:10pm Von Humboldt is due to leave later on her rounds for Hamburg at 23:00pm on 13/08/13. Filming locations for this video were in Mayflower Park and on Town Quay, Southampton.
