P&O IONA CRUISE SHIP TOUR - INSIDE LOOK AT P&O CRUISES NEW SHIP (INC. COOKING WITH A CELEBRITY CHEF)

Iona is the newest ship in P&O Cruises fleet and it's an absolute beauty. I enjoyed a seven-night cruise on Iona to the Norwegian Fjords and this video is a review and tour of the whole ship - a video of the excursions and destinations will come in due course. My cruise also happened to coincide with one of P&O's special 'Food Heroes' sailings and the Food Hero for my voyage was the 3 Michelin star chef and restauranteur Marco Pierre White. The video shows the activities offered during a Food Hero sailing - like cooking demonstrations (I helped Marco make a seafood risotto!) and Q&A's in the theatre etc. As well as looking at what Marco adds to a cruise and at Iona's food in general (I explore Iona's game-changing alternative free dining area that is The Quays on the Promenade Deck as well as dining with Marco in the specialty Indian restaurant Sindhu) I also explore the cabins, the Promenade Deck, the swimming pools, hot tubs, sports court and entertainment, from the 4-screen boutique cinema to the intimate live music venue the 710 Club whose Musical Director is Gary Barlow. To the innovative Sky Dome which is an indoor swimming pool by day and an arena for acrobatic shows by night. Also featured in the video is the special 6-course Norwegian tasting menu in specialty restaurant The Epicurean when Iona sails in Norway - this was an absolute treat and is well worth the surcharge.
