There's no doubt that cruising has changed - despite the fact that the majority of the planet has been without cruising for the better part of 12 months, we already know that when it does resume, it will be different. Once cruise ships head back to service this year (as I believe they will), the onboard offering and experience will have changed from pre-virus times. At least at the beginning, the cruising public will need to get used to doing things differently, and we're all pretty familiar with what social distancing and health precautions look like on land. Things on the high seas won't be any different, if anything, they'll be under even more scrutiny. Technology has changed the way the world works in many facets of life, and the virus has forced people and companies to adapt to new ways of living and communicating, and existing. One cruise line has beat the others to the punchline - well before COVID times. Princess Cruises debuted Ocean Medallion technology onboard Regal Princess in 2017, and since then the services and facilities that it encompasses has grown. Princess recently announced that upon their return to service, their entire fleet will be equipped with the ground-breaking technology. It's the reason that I think Princess Cruises is the cruise line best placed to get back to service in a post-COVID world. The technology will be available on all of their ships, from the Royal Princess, Regal Princess, Majestic Princess, Enchanted Princess, Sky Princess, Discovery Princess, Grand Princess, Diamond Princess, Sapphire Princess, Caribbean Princess, Ruby Princess, Crown Princess, Emerald Princess, Coral Princess and Island Princess.
