Docking in Qena was an adventure on our Viking Hathor Nile River Cruise! We pulled up near the dock and tied off beside an Ama Waterways ship. Walked through the Hathor Hotel and made our way to the Temple of Dendara for a tour. Saw remainders of mud brick walls that used to surround the temple complex. This temple was dedicated to the Egyptian god, Hathor - a really special treat to us since our ship is named for this god. The number and size of the columns inside is mind-blowing, and the colors incredible. We also had a treat in that King Farouk's River Ship came right up next to our ship when we were in Qena.
